Spirit of the River Experiencial Tour...Spirit of Emily Allain
(Guided Tour with Stories, Songs, Music, Entertainment, and Biscuits in the Cookhouse)

Experience the folklore and "Spirits of the Forest" with a guided, costumed tour; that can only be told, by Emily Allain and Ethel.  They will take you back to the days when the "Whooper" made its stop in Boiestown, a thriving and bussling lumbering town.  While visiting this genuine lumbering community, you'll meet Emily Allain, the local telephone operator, midwife, and part-time village coroner of days past.

In between humorous phone calls, she'll entertain you with tales about some of the "Characters of the Miramichi River".  The smell of wood smoke, home-baked 'Never Fail Biscuits' and black strap molasses will lure you to the cookhouse for even more adventure.

Ethel (Emily's friend) will introduce you to her father, "Big Fred Fowler" the Guiding Man - a famous fishing guide at Rocky Brook Camp.

Amidst the folklore, stories, dancing, and songs - you will experience some of the Characters of our River.
